A Ghana-focused clean water mission

Living Water for Ghana. Restored by Faith, Action, and You.

Where galamsey has brought destruction, Blessed Water Initiative seeks restoration. Through God’s provision and practical action, we are working to bring clean, life-giving water to vulnerable communities in Ghana.

First clear ask: $20,000 to support clean water work for 2 communities, aiming to reach around 2,000 people. Wider vision: 20 x $20,000 clean water phases.

The crisis — galamsey & its effects

The waters have been defiled. But God calls us to restore.

“Rivers we once drank from now run black with poison.” This is the reality facing communities affected by galamsey — illegal gold mining that can scar the land and contaminate rivers, streams and groundwater.

Scripture tells us, “He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul” Psalm 23:2–3. Yet today, some of our brothers and sisters walk miles for water that may bring sickness instead of healing.

Bodies BrokenUnsafe water can expose children, elders and vulnerable families to illness and long-term health risks.
Land Laid WasteWhere mining damages soil and waterways, farms suffer and livelihoods weaken.
Hope DeferredWhen children spend time searching for clean water, they lose time to learn and grow.
Key truth: We cannot heal the land alone. But we are called to be stewards of creation and neighbours to those in need. “Whoever gives to the poor lends to the Lord” — Proverbs 19:17.

Our solution — stewardship in action

We don’t just dig wells. We restore what was broken.

Blessed Water Initiative answers the call to be stewards of God’s creation and servants to His people. We design and install clean water systems that last — powered by the sun, managed by the community, and protected for generations.

1. Listen FirstWe walk with community leaders to understand their water needs, history, and capacity. No project starts without local ownership.
2. Build RightSolar-powered boreholes and gravity-fed systems can bring clean water directly to villages. Every system is tested for safety before handover.
3. Train & SustainWe train local water committees and mechanics. Clean water should not depend on outsiders. It should stay in the hands of the people God placed there.
4. Walk the Road TogetherWe monitor every site for 24 months. We return, we test, we repair. Restoration is a promise, not a one-day event.

This is practical faith: seeing a need, and doing the work to meet it.

Impact & stewardship

Your gift becomes living water.

When you partner with BWI, you do not simply fund a project. You help restore dignity, health, and time to a community God loves.

$20,000 is the first clear ask. The wider vision is 20 x $20,000 clean water phases as trusted partners come alongside the mission.

“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38

The fruit we want to see

  • Children back in school instead of walking for water
  • Families farming again on clean land
  • Fewer preventable illnesses in clinics
  • Communities restored to hope and self-reliance

Transparency promise: every partner should receive photos, water test results, and impact reports showing where their gift flows.

What a funded project can support

Practical water access, not empty promises.

  • Community needs assessment and site preparation
  • Drilling, installation or water system construction where suitable
  • Water testing and safety checks
  • Hygiene training and local maintenance guidance
  • Two-year maintenance and aftercare target
  • Project reporting for donors and partners

No promises, only targets: final scope depends on confirmed location, contractor quotes, water survey results and local approval.
